winter.............?
January 26, 2010 - i am wondering why do people wear dark clothes in winter? it really looks upsetting plus i just got white jacket ..i want to wear with pinkish top inside..is it ok to wear such colors in winter
- Wear whatever you like, and don't be a slave to the dictates of lesser people. Fashion is a scam.
- I say to wear whatever colors you want.
I wear what i like. I love my red-polo-neck and thinks it goes well with my denim jacket. I love colours and seeing colours in Winter is so cheerful. No need for anyone to dress in black or dark clothes, why, it is so depressing. Wear what you want, don't worry about others they will probably envy you:))))
- wear what you like dont let anyone spoil your choice of clothing
- you can wear whatever you wish they do say the winter makes folk feel more depressed with the dark gloomy weather i myself have a pink jkt i wear with white sweater and jeans and some pink gloves if its really cold
You wear what makes you happy something smart or even snappy black is in, easier to clean than a nice pink top and bright white jean dark colours can make you sad stay light if it makes you glad but the benefit for the rest of us is if you wear bright, you'll not get hit by a bus
I think the old rules on color should be banned! You can wear any colors you want....white is perfectly acceptable for winter. That is why they call it winter white!!!! And pink would look great with white. Don't be afraid to use colors...all colors! The only reason fall colors are fall colors (or winter) is because some fashion editor dictates it to be so. Be your own fashion statement!
- course it is hunni, i like bright clothes and there is some really good stuff around this winter
- I think because generally bright cotheslook a bit daft when the sky is cloudy and the world looks a bit dull! Summer sun makes bright clothes look beter!
- Yes, it will be like frosty chic ...
you are forgetting the obvious, its not to do with fashion, but winter itself. in summer, its dry, so the chances that you whit and pink clothes will stay white and pink. rain, snow, and humid all splash about a bit, so they will not stay very clean and bright - unless you live in the middle of a desert. So I suggest that you wear nice bright colours under your much more sensible coats if you don't want to look grubby this winter.
Of course!! There are no lines between which colors you can and can not wear anymore. Take a look at the celebrities for example. They are wearing white all the time these days. You can do! fashion is to make you feel good and if a white jacket will make you feel good. the more power to ya! - You wear what you like sweetheart. But my boobs are too big to wear white and I am not boasting its a nuisance. As long as you are warm and comfortable, wear anything you like, any colour.
If you think about it, why do people not wear dark colors in the summer? They're going along with the season. Spring is a lot of pastels, summer is brights, fall is earthy tones, and winter is more monochromatic. I do have a theory though. Another reason people don't wear dark colors in the summer is because they attract light and make you even warmer. So this may be true of winter, wearing dark colors to absorb any light to keep you warm when it's cold out. I'm not a fan of pink, but I guess wearing pink and white will be almost refreshing and crisp. Wear what you want. Uh...David C...last I knew summer was humid and winter was the dry season...unless you come from Florida where it's always humid even in December...
- of course it is...wearing a white jacket will make u stand out, which is a good thing,i hate wearing dark colours,so i always wear white, pink and light blue.People who wear dark clothes are just boring.xxx
- to be visible against the white snow, if there is any snow wear as many colours as you want, you will be visible against the wall of dark coats :)
