Where to buy blankets and winter clothes during the summer?
January 26, 2010 - A bunch of people from my church got to talking and thought it'd be great to be able to stock up on blankets and winter clothes in the spring and summer to help distribute to people in need during the winter, and got to wondering where to find off-season sales, since major retailers would be unlikely to carry winter clothing and not necessarily stocking heavy blankets during the summer, and we figure we could get really good prices on them in the spring and summer. We're especially wanting to find blankets. Any suggestions on places to look, online or elsewhere?
- over here you can get them almost anywhere. Sorry but i dont know any shops over there. Try ebay?
- Goodwill
Great idea! As far as on-line shopping goes, there are several websites where you can compare prices like: www.shopzilla.com www.bizrate.com www.shopping.com www.pricegrabber.com All major stores will have winter items on clearance in the spring, and personally I think you can get better prices shopping in person. You won't have to pay shipping and handling and the stores are eager to dispose of inventory that is taking up shelf space. You can get some really good deals, especially if you not being picky about colors, etc. at places like Target, Walmart, and KMart.
- outlet store usually have the last season stock so if its spring they have the winter items etc. and it will all be at discounted prices
- Try ebay, you can probably find good deals there.
